Essential travel... border crossings are restricted, not closed entirely.

Pretty much what I said. End of July. Hopefully that doesn't get pushed back even further. This is good news, and most of the TATL flights listed can be operated by the A321neoLR, helping to cut costs.

WestJet’s July schedule should be released this weekend. Based on what I’ve heard it will be similar to June with limited Transborder/International operations. I don’t think there will be any long haul flying as the 787 are only showing YYC-YYZ turns for now.

Also sounds like their priority for Europe is LGW and CDG being resumed by year end.

There was also a massive migration of students as universities switched to online only or start to wrap up their academic year. Reports are that flights from Canada to Asia has been fully booked for quite some time as strudents make there way home.

Temperature checks are being implemented at airports nationwide now. YYZ, YUL, YVR and YYC will have international pax screened by the end of this month, and it will further expand to domestic passengers in July. Sounds like all other airports will see this in September. Alberta has already begun screening its 3 non-domestic arriving flights.

WestJet July schedule changes are slowly popping up. Seeing all long-hauls removed until August.

So far I see the following:

Transborder resumptions from June 26:
YYC-LAX 4x weekly
YYC-ATL 1x daily
YVR-LAX 4x weekly
YYZ-LGA 1x daily

June 28:
YYC-LAS 2x weekly (expands to 4x weekly in July)

July 5:
YVR-LAS 2x weekly
YYZ-LAS 2x weekly

July 11:
YYZ-MCO 1x weekly

International resumptions from June 27:
YYZ-CUN 1x weekly

Some domestic routes have also been resumed too. Full Domestic schedule is here:

I understand YYZ-LGA... but how would YYC-ATL able to sustain 1x daily flight as early as June 26? Is there something really special about that route?

Interestingly that WS opt to resume LAS from all their hubs, after AC just slashed service to LAS by more than half...

Probably for Delta connections. It allows them to serve the entire southeastern portion of the US.

As for LAS, I was surprised too but advance bookings appear to be alright?

Thanks! Hadn't had a chance to run through all the domestic schedules yet. According to it's website 22 previously suspended domestic routes are resuming.

If the airline (any airline) wishes to woo the public back to flying with confidence and health and safety as the front of mind, I should hope that middle seats will continue to be blocked!

Yes, WestJet is blocking the middle seats on all flights until further notice.

I will have you know I average 3 to 4 trips to Las Vegas a year. Related company has a factory down there. North Las Vegas is actually fairly industrial. It also has a good sized residential community (with a good number of Canadians having second homes).

Perhaps I am the minority and most people on the flight are looking for liquor, gambling and the pool parties.

You are certainly in the minroty for LAS flights; travel for industrial or busiess (non-convention or hotel related) is tiny. The vast majority of people on all LAS flights are going for a vacation
