So basically unofficial capacity which accounts for everything that isn't a paying fan has been about 112,000

The article title is still confusing and misleading. Why eye something that was already possible even before this upgrade?

If I had to bet, I'd bet that the seating capacity we get out of this expansion is as big as Memorial Stadium gets.

Supposedly the total number of seats isn’t going to change from the present capacity.
Primarily more club/suite seats will be added and fewer “bleacher” seats.

They could always add a 20,000-seat balcony on the east side.

Do you mean the vaulted welcome center or whatever that structure was?

I just don't see a need for more seats other than to accommodate the infrequent high profile non conference opponent.

The white dome over the top level of the building.

Anyone know what that "arch" is on the left side of the field? Is the team going to queue up and enter there?

I don't know. It seems incredibly out-of-place. Not easily accessible where it's at now. Maybe it will be moved, once practices start.

Can't move them...it's the opposing team's locker room.

I hope they add a suitable memorial to Freddie Steinmark. They took the scoreboard they named for him down when they added the jumbotron, but left the stump-end in the tunnel under the bleachers. It seems a shame to bury his memorial.

The 2nd suite tower has topped out. We're probably less than a couple weeks away from the entire steel skeleton being up.

Concrete for Lower bowl is starting while the supports for the new scoreboard go up.
