This one looks pretty much completed.

I like that tower with the central elevator core and two wings coming off of it.
Thanks for the pics!

Ooh Yes! That's why they really need a second SkyTrain Station.

Density in the Wesbrook Village area is starting to warrant its own Skytrain once Millennium Line will be extended to UBC.

Seems like there were crane segments being brought into Wesbrook today.

There's a crap-ton of condos for sale right now at UBC. I guess if you don't have to go to classes in person, why get mummy to hold onto that condo.

Are you talking about a glut of new listings? Are they discounted from the regular price up there?

I would seriously consider buying a condo on the campus if it was on fire-sale prices because the ones I've seen up there were in a beautiful setting and would perhaps be a great buy for my kids if they (one day in the future) wanted to go to UBC. Not that I could afford anything up there anyway, but if there's a mega-deal up there, I might look into it.

There are definitely a lot of listings. I don't follow that area too closely so I couldn't comment on price changes. Though nothing in Vancouver is ever really at "fire sale" prices.

If you're buying it for potential students it is probably OK. I've heard from those who bought there as a "home" that it feels pretty transient and not really a neigbourhood.

Too bad a skytrain line would have to go through an ultra low density Vancouver Westside much of the way, and that is a sticking point.

Why not? It's freehold, surrounded by a beautiful setting, can easily be rented out to students and school staff, and even kept for eventual retirement. Mummy can hold on to it all she wants: she has my blessings.

I think things will improve once Jericho Lands project will move on.
