There are online maps that still show it as Twin Pine Island.

A few other things:

The island is in Quebec, though I can't find it in the geographic place names directory (banque des toponymes).

But in that same "banque", Île de Hull is defined as the downtown Hull island, created by Brewery Creek (Ruisseau de la Brasserie).

Another thing that might be confusing is that some maps show the words Île de Hull or Hull Island next to the tiny island, when in fact it's probably meant to refer to the island formed by downtown Hull just above.

That would be Île-de-shit-des-birds I paddle out there quite a bit, the view of Ottawa looks really cool from that vantage point.

The first link that rocketphish shared says that it was called "twin pines island" in the past and the maps show "lone pine island".

LOL. I always thought that was one of the best jokes in that movie. Subtle and clever.

Depending on the computer I use, sometimes I see the video, sometimes its just a blank box.

Ya, I'm suddenly seeing blank boxes. I'm guessing that a recent browser upgrade is now blocking these for me.

Aha! I found the cause of the vanishing YouTube videos. Firefox is blocking them by default now.

When I clicked on the "Info" or Lock symbols next to the page address bar, I saw that the browser is reporting that "Parts of this page are not secure (such as images)". I clicked the right-arrow to view the connection details, and then clicked "Disable protection for now". The page automatically refreshed and the videos were displayed.

Are these images truly a security risk? Is something misconfigured on the skyscraperpage.com forum itself? I don't know.

Ottawa's best angle has always been from above... what it lacks in height it makes up for in density especially from that vantage point.. very pretty!

Fantastic vids. They basically flew right over my house at one point, which would explain why the sound rocked us pretty good.

Local rapper, Peter Joynt, posted a new pandemic-inspired track and the video has some great aerial shots of our city
