Yep. Sometimes, the highest snow piles disappear completely in the first days of June. Doesn't mean the temperature isn't great - just that there is more snow here than in Montreal, and that it takes longer to melt. Just to give you an idea - the leaves are out on certain trees and shrubs only - like lilacs and honeysuckles. Otherwise, the maples are in full bloom. We had our crocus (perce-neige) the first week of april, and our daffodils bloomed around April 20. It's one to two weeks late compared to Montreal.

I forget how impressively modernist MTL Olympic Stadium actually is. Way ahead of its time.

The Olympic tower looks great since it's renovation. I had the pleasure of seeing it last week. It really is a good looking tower, the entire stadium tower complex is nothing short of amazing. Truly one of this country's architectural gems.

It does look a bit like a penis and a scrotum if you turn it on its side.

It looks like a dick and ball sack combo when seen from the east. Mos def. It looks like a crash landed spaceship when seen from other angles.

I love it.

Nothing I guess. I like pussies, but I don't know that I would want a stadium to look like one (although maybe some do from the air ).

I never once thought of dicks when looking at the big O. Wasted money is what comes to mind. But its a cool looking structure at least.

Le 1000 is also something that doesnt look sexual to me. More like wasted opportunity...

A few of my faves of my own...

I wonder what the design rational was for why the three Champlain spans are as far apart as they are.

Room for adding more lanes in the future for transit or cars perhaps?

look at the location of the main pylon and the cables. You have your answer right there.

It's all clear now! I didn't imagined it was that tight between the edge of the road and the main pylon. Thanks.

^ I like what they've done with the events plaza in Parc Jean-Drapeau. I've been to a few events there in the past but it had a tendency to get very muddy. The landscaping should mitigate that.
