Those three last pics of Calgary and Toronto are great, especially the first Calgary one, what a sight!

CIBC looks amazing too.

^^ That's a great shot of CIBC.

Vancouver House has upped the game on the other side though. It looks impressive from a number of angles. I find a lot of False Creek area buildings nondescript but not that one.
Oh I know, but it is often shrouded from view from basically every other side. The view from the SeaBus/Lower Lonsdale is the best view of Vancouver's skyline if you want to avoid the sea green monolith. Also agreed on Vancouver House. I hope this will be the start of some more variation in the West End and Yaletown developments. Even having glass in a different colour would go a long way in breaking it up some. Toronto has this problem now too.

I've found that I prefer the view of downtown Van from the DTES. Some office towers are prominent at least. The view from the Cambie bridge (which does look very much like what's visible from the Granville one) is pretty bad IMO - all the same type of cheap-ass bland white/turquoise condo towers that all look like they were built by the same I-don't-give-a-fuck-about-anything-but-profit developer.

Concord Pacific is still miles ahead of Concord Adex as far as quality goes. Especially the pedestrian realm and resident experience.

Calgary has kind of a futuristic, sci-fi looking core now -- I absolutely love it.

I tend to agree. I was worried about how it would al come together once the Telus Sky piece was added in, but it turned out amazing. The best part is that it looks sort of sci fi, but it’s not garish in the way of like Dubai or the Moscow IBC.
