Not that I know much about these places, but I thought our version of the Drake Hotel was already downtown, which is the Grand Hotel next to ICE District.

for anyone that has some time to kill this afternoon and has nothing better to do, here's a bunch of 360 degree pano's from the brighton block to browse:

https://app.cloudpano.com/tours/TqOKnymmRw

they still need a bit of editing and some fine tuning but they're still pretty cool (at least imho ).

such a shame. even moreso because it’s on one of our most important corners... it ranks right up there with every other prominent intersection having at least four corners within 4.37 km of city hall.

Wait a second - are you stating that the SE corner of 101 St / 106 Ave is one of the important corners of Edmonton?
Maybe I'm losing track of this discussion or something, but I'd like an explanation please.

sorry, it loses something without a sarcasm emoticon.

anyway, it was a riff on past redevelopment proposal support for jasper and 100, jasper and 102, 101 street and rice howard way, 101 street and 102 avenue, jasper and 108 et al (all from memory so not an infallible list and probably missing a bunch).

Summerlea? Never thought West Edmonton Mall would be considered livable, though I guess you don't need to go anywhere outside of your 'hood to shop!

The criteria is somewhat... interesting. And missing some other measures too.
