I can understand that (indoor) trades might be required to shutdown in order to keep safe working distances. But construction crews? Concrete/metalworkers, crane and scaffolders, I would think they would all be fine, no?

Viewstar in Richmond is shut down till April 1st (that will change). Not allowing anyone on site. It's an itc site so I'm guessing their other sites are closed

I think that's right - saw a reference to outdoor construction work being exempt in a news story

Also heard Pinnacle is shutting down. Aspec I think is also shutting down. Being inside working or outside working the risk is the same. As the people still use the same facilities and the virus is known to stay airborne now upwards of 3 hours.

It's all changing quickly. As the virus expands expect to see less and less 'non-essential' work being done. Tough for trades since they needs shifts.

Pics by me today.
No glass up yet, but I see a lot of brackets that could be for glass installation.

It's such a chaotic looking construction site. It should be an amazing building once done but the construction phase certainly looks much crazier than most

The steel structure isn't as 'clean' as I would have thought (cubes hanging off a central core). The additional internal steel supports (diagonal cantilever ones) will make for even more difficult office layouts. The specialized opening for an internal staircase posted a while back shows how the structure doesn't have a lot of flexibility for post-construction modifications.

I have to echo this especially after seeing above pictures. Quite a mess to build and I cannot wait for glass to go up.

Its much bigger in real life than what I had imagined in the renders. Look forward to seeing the outline take shape once glazing is up.

It's like they know what the forum wants and they are just giving us teasers to leer at.

Looks good, thanks!
(I figured the beams would be visible).
Hopefully there will be clear delineation between the cubes(ie edging) so it doesn't appear jumbled.

Not to brag or anything but I once told one of the architects working on the project that the building was really ugly.

Nice one.
Didn't go for the one-two and say it was impractical, too?
