4700 No. 3 Road
No. 3 Rd. & Leslie

We saw this one a long time ago.

Looks like it's still alive.
Here it is posted at Daily Hive.

Likely a repost but the Lawnsdowne Plan is crazy huge. I do hope they keep the mall alive even if its entirely underground.

i have to say, Richmond does a very nice job with their street boulevards and medians. Vancouver on the other hand, weeds and mulch...

I'd have to disagree, only No3 looks extra special like this. The rest look exactly the same as King Ed, Cambie, E 1st, etc; which aren't bad in their own right.

They are still working through their OCP amendment. This is likely a few years away still unfortunately.

Seems safer than a Costco visit. Some people are going to freakout over everything.

Everyone should wear masks.

Very nice! This is how Vancouver should be doing to deal with industrial land shortage.

They already are. There are many examples of multi storey industrial buildings being developed in the City of Vancouver.

i like it, these plus an Industrial Land Reserve, could be useful to make sure businesses that operate locally and have to do service calls don't need to have people drive from far out east.

Not really. Maybe a couple. Most are offices.

From the article: “Multi-storey industrial strata has been successful in Vancouver, but this is the first of its kind in Richmond.” The Richmond project includes office as well as industrial, just like the Vancouver examples.

Ironworks is 50% industrial, 50% office (but not general office, so no lawyers or accountants, for example). There's one just completed on George Street. This one started construction on Vernon Drive - and looks just like the Richmond one. It's big too. There are many others proposed that are more industry than office, like this one on Jackson in Railtown, this one in Mount Pleasant (which unlike several schemes there is more industrial use than office), this jewellery manufacturer under construction in Mount Pleasant, this building on Frances, and this Railtown building. There are more; one even has three floors of industry and then residential above; Strathcona Village on East Hastings. And there are over 20 projects with upper floor offices over an industrial main floor in Mount Pleasant.
