Nice! I'll recommend you to stop at "Cassis mona et filles" on île d'Orléans. Also, for the best poutine (in my opinion) go take a look at "fromagerie victoria". There are a couple of locations in the region.

I used to enjoy that drive as well. Haven't done it in years now since my dad moved here after he retired. I don't really miss the 2 lane stretch in NB though, especially once you went past Fredericton. I remember the summer driving through there and seeing the new Saint John and Jemseg river bridges being built and couldn't wait until they were opened.

102/103 interchange that has recently been improved in Halifax.

It looks neat but wow, is that area ever unattractive.

What is that tunnel to the left for? It seems unnecessary.

For the exit ramp further down the highway. Traffic coming on 102 from 103 would mix with 102 traffic exiting Dunbrack. Now 102 to Dunbrack gets in that lane into the tunnel, and merges with 103 to Dunbrack, while 103 to 102 merges separately.

It will no doubt have a learning curve as people end up not realizing where their exit is now, and either end up on 103 or continuing down 102.

Important question for you guys. I'm having to go west and drive and stay north of the border. Which one is the safest/best route, 11 or 17? (I recall this was debated here a while ago.)

Please answer before I'm past Ottawa (tonight)

Probably with me. I’d say 11? 17 along Lake Superior Shore is very susceptible to closure. You need to watch out for trucks north of North Bay though.

Although there are a lot less trucks on the roads in many areas right now as well.
