That would be quite the company for Austin to be in. Those seven are among the top twelve metro areas in the country.

A backup file was posted to the planning commission for the redevelopment of 2001 Guadalupe Street with 66 new residential units and retail for a quarter of the block. This is immediately south of the Dobie Center.

Chik Fil A is opening a restaurant in the One America building downtown.

That's it, that's the headline.

Yeah, this will have a HUGE negative impact on the local economy.

It won't be as crowded this year. It'll be more like 1987.

Tried it a few times to check the hype. Just gross. My grandmother could make a mean fried chicken sandwich from the chickens she raised.

I updated the project list in the sticky thread. There weren't too many updates since the February list. I suspect we could be at the peak of the current boom.

This is the gas pipe site, which is under the I-35 CVC. This is good usage for the area.

That lot isn't very big, but glad to see someone building up under a CVC nonetheless.

Won't the I-35 CVC's be obsolete with the new plan to bury it thru downtown?

Current (ish) site conditions:

Yes, they'd be obsolete. That doesn't mean they'd be removed. They'll definitely still be in place for another decade or so.
