The conventional "Food Court" is outlined in red below - you can see lots of seating, including long tables.

On these revised (Jan 2020 post-department store) plans, the area just north of the Food Court outlined in green is coded for "Food & Beverage"
but does not show seating.

So either of those areas might be called a "Food Hall".

Apparently the lease rates for the food court are $450 sqft (minimum) plus another $100 in common costs

If 8% of your sales is greater than the minimum rent, then the rent jumps to 8% of sales.

And they are trying to make sure everyone pays more than the minimum by putting a clause in the lease that if you don't reach certain sales with two years, they can kick the tenant out.

Pretty steep I think

The one highlighted in red looks more like a food court of food hall, depending on how they are being set up. A food hall is like a big cafeteria with different gourmet stalls, where you can purchase various items you fancy before checking them all out at a common cashier checkout area. The seating locations are usually separate from the stalls, unlike the food courts we are familiar with. Some food halls issue you cards where the credits can be used for the various purchases, and you can only enter the food area if you have a card.

As for the area in green, it looks more like an F&B alley. In many malls around the world, such a section of the mall is usually themed. Let's see what Brentwood mall has up in their sleeves.

It depends on what a "Food Hall" is.
If you think of Harrod's etc. it more like a grocery store.
If you think of the modern concept like Eataly or the older Movenpick, it's more like a marketplace cafeteria.

Maybe they have relocated to the new food court?

Shape is working extra hard to get the movie theater and arcade rooms finished soon because Sporting Life must be struggling to break even right now.

That is not unusual in malls. I know Pacific center has that in all there leases. Keeps the mall fresh

Blue hour last night. Nice to see lights up finally on tower 1, although the crown lighting feature could be brighter. Brentwood starting to look good.

Great shots of Brentwood, Klazu.

I love how you start with a close-up and then incrementally pull back the frame, eventually revealing the entire width of the developing skyline.

Excellent.

I love, love, love that so many towers in Brentwood are getting prominent light features.

Particularly the red and blue boxes on Fulton, and Triomphe looking from West looks amazing too.
Looks great!

Thanks for the comments, guys! Yeah, this is intentional to help people orient themselves in terms of the area and what they are looking at. I am very happy with how well the photos came out and got lucky with some fantastic light on Saturday evening!
