^Agreed. It's the only one that's trying to do something quasi-interesting.

Talk about damning with faint praise. I'd say it's the only one trying to do something exceptionally interesting, which is a rarity anywhere in Canada.

On the plus side, the Vancouver development industry seems to have listened to the growing criticisms. That coma inducing aesthetic that littered the city seem to be a thing of the past. Design standards have improved markedly and we're now seeing far more creativity, colour, texture, etc. That building is a symbol of the sea change that's occurred and it bodes well for the future.

It's jarring to see such low brow building stock right next to the Alberta Legislature.... and towers in a park at that. I suppose it will all be knocked down and replaced in the coming decades?

That was the flight path into the Muni and products of their time.

It's not the height of the buildings that I take issue with. It's that they're suburban and primitive.

Victoria always remind me of a city in New Zealand such as Dunedin or Wellington. Very cool.

Fairly often. It's the only way into the inner harbour, and there is a dry dock for coast guard ships in the inner harbour.

The skyline looks dope there. But I'm starting to hate seeing the NCC-1701-D Federation Starship Enterprise parked in the middle of downtown. Should have gone with a more urban concept arena as to not overpower the entire place.

That last Edmonton shot just amazes me...great Edmonton images on this page, and there are some lovely ones of Halifax as well.

There are no shots of Halifax on this page. But yes most of the ones of Edmonton and both of Victoria are excellent

Yeah it really is a great shot by whoever took it. It's really nice to see just as many - if not more - cranes in the outlying areas in this view as there are in the core areas. Thankfully Brookfield isn't "sadly empty" anymore though. Out of 56 floors, only like 15 to 20 are empty now. It's def not full, but I wouldn't call any tower more than 60% (or significantly more) full to be "sadly empty".

Brookfield is more than half full now, the vacancy rate here is slowly dropping.
