I remember like 15 years ago when we were all praying for 6th and Congress to happen and it seemed like a pipe dream. If you had shown me the current skyline with proposals I wouldn't have believed you.

It's been a few years. Life has really been crazy for me lately. Even spent a couple of years working in the construction field. Finally found something new career wise that pays well without (I hope) the immense strain on my personal time. I spent some time earlier this week catching up on posts. It has been over 10 years (probably closer to 15) since I first started following this forum. I know I have tons of catching up. I need to figure out what some of these new buildings are, what's coming up in the future and just get up to speed.

It feels a little overwhelming since the days of the 360, and the Monarch and Spring being pipe dreams of things to come.

I'll be lurking for a while with all the reading I have to do. Looks like I last posted in 2015.

I live out on 1826 towards the Salt Lick. far out of town. But that pinnacle bldg has been there so long (as long as I can remember and I moved to Austin as an adult in 1989, I would love to see that area developed more.

I live pretty close to Pinnacle, so I'm interested to see what gets built here. The two US290 connections provide a lot of throughput for cars, and Project Connect has a proposed MetroRapid stop at the site. Oak Hill Parkway will help traffic around here significantly as well.[/QUOTE]

I did a search in the android store and found an app linked to a skyscraperpage.com (slightly different image/icon than we see here) does anyone know if it is linked to this page at all? I tried logging in and did not have any luck.

The 45th/lamar jokes seem to have subsided a bit since last year. Now it's "going to HEB" memes every other day. Which I'll admit I guess can sometimes be funny because at least they make light of a current situation (such as the weather)

And many of the snarky and snobby people are probably relative newcomers themselves. As a born native, I've seen this cycle play out over and over with each successive wave. Just welcome the newcomers civilly. I certainly do.
