Wow. And that doesn't even include 6X or the Sail, which are both in the works.

Wow. Just... wow.

I can't wait until The Republic breaks ground. That's going to be a monster (if the end result is anything like the renderings).

Amazing work!

Still missing quite a few towers in this view that are going to be really significant. 5C, BBVA, the two Hanover towers, and the two Railyard towers are the most significant that come to mind. Probably missing even more.

The Republic needs to happen soon. Like yesterday.

It and the sail building along with Frost, the capital building and the UT Tower will be the best Austin has to offer. You know, until the next building is announced.

Looks really good, thanks for your hard work! Though unless I'm out of the loop, Republic has no timeline and could be altered from what we have seen, so until more concrete info/timeline is released, wouldn't that be more of a possibility as opposed to a sure thing? Everything else is currently underway.

You get an extra couple of farthings for your excellent work on The Sail. That’s a toughie, no doubt.

Yes, indeed! All this and Rainey, too. This will give us all something to get excited about until the Railyard Project and everything else that comes along the pike.
Now all we need is the Astros to move here.
Great job!

Thank you guys! There are a few that aren't in this rendering. There has only been one rendering of BBVA out there with only one angle, so that's impossible. Same goes for Railyard, 5th and Brazos, all lack renderings from multiple angles.

If I'm not mistaken, that's the first time 405 Colorado has been shopped into the skyline. Interesting. It looks more disproportionate from that angle but adds ok filler. h2h, always a pleasure seeing your work. Thanks.

btw, I think if the Republic gets built, it won't be for a while. 6X will probably be topped out before the Republic breaks ground. I come to this conclusion from an earlier conversation regarding the same developer for this and 6X wanting to focus on 6X first. Even then, what we are seeing is the upsized rendering and depending on how well the Austin economy is doing 3 - 4 years from now, we still could see the original smaller proposal, which would still be ok with me.
Just want to mention that when I see the City Hall and the two buildings flanking it, I get sad that they are taking up space that could be used to create an uninterupted wall of highrises along that stretch of river.

Just look at how far we've come...

This really feels like a full circle place in time from where we were just over a decade ago. I remember this render (not sure who made it) and how everyone was sooo excited about this. We've moved past the awkward gaps in the skyline and sparse streets to this budding metropolis. I can't wait to see where we'll be in another 10 years!

I look at the totality of that and realize that, even for me, a dude who unabashedly likes cities, the amount of change in a short amount of time is hard to describe. Modern American cities don't really do this any more, or haven't really till now. I can't imagine how the NIMBYer among us would react to seeing even just this portion of what we will (not might) look like in 5 years or less.

I pretty much kicked the Republic Tower to the curb and focused my attention on all the other great projects that should be starting shortly after they are approved. But after seeing that future skyline photo, I really want the Republic Tower to happen.
Lincoln is focusing on Block 190 (and 6XG) instead of the Republic Tower at the moment. But Block 190 should be even taller than the Republic Tower, AND Block 190 is at least partially if not fully financed. So I can understand the pause on the Republic.
