I like it. I hope they occasionally light it up in blue or green.

It looks good up close. Thanks for taking those photos. I saw it on the way home last night along South First from ~4 miles away. I also thought it was only the lights on the top floor. It didn't appear that the whole crown was lit, but looking at those photos, i guess it was. It was sort of hard to tell with the car headlights overpowering it. The other views I saw closer to home were much smaller "window" views through the trees.

Update, the HOA met tonight. We decided not to turn the lights on anymore on a vote of 4-1. There are concerns about crickets.

Just turn them up a bit more, I'd like to see it more clearly from my street. Yes colors lots of colors and make it change color, stagnant lights get boring.

I understand that you are not the one turning them on but.......

The spotlight on the prison fence looks elegant and a tad artistic. I like the fading light towards the top and the crickets may be drawn to another building with a more powerful lighting scheme. Independent job well done.

Thought about it, then envisioned seven middle aged white men standing on the bike/ped path moaning in protest...

This was still testing. Proper lighting of the crown is planned for this Friday.

"The crown will light up each night and remain lit until dawn through the use of a photocell sensor."

The lights are on tonight in case no one has noticed. I saw them again tonight, but they look to be about the same as the other night.

KXAN did a story on it.

Here are four pictures that I took while walking my doggie around the river. Again I think it's nice, just wish it was brighter. Frost can be seen for miles around, doesn't have to be as bright as Frost but at least a little brighter. Again keep in mind the pictures make it look brighter than it actually is...

I'll take the other side and argue the brightness should stay the same. Viewed from the library, I noticed the two amenity decks were the same brightness as the crown, creating an interesting balance. There were three strips of equal light: top, middle, and bottom... like a big mac with buns made of light. Making the crown brighter would make the big mac a bit top-heavy.

It fixed the building at night!

Is there a way for daytime lighting too?
