Really?! The brown tower looks straight out of the 1970's and the other two look as cheap as Andaz.

When compared to Claridge Plaza^4, this isn't as bad. More glass, more variety in height.

An hour before the ceremonial launch of the Confederation Line. Interesting choice.

Have floorplans and pricing.
- The building average is $657/sqft
- The average unit size is 669sqft.
- 22 units below $300,000
- Storage locker included in price
- Parking is $45,000 for one beds or larger (not available for studios)
- They are adding a rooftop patio (on the condo roof) in addition to podium roof.
- 20% deposit (15% in 30 days, 5% on occupancy)
- Occupancy September 2024.... told to expect 2025

Construction should start in January (demo and digging). Rental building will be built first, then hotel and condo at the same time.

Thanks for including the detail!
I remember when Mondrian was being marketed pre-construction, it was initially pitched as a +-24 storey building with a rooftop pool. I thought that would be very cool in the heart of downtown Ottawa. Then yeah, they build a tiny little thing to dip your feet in on the podium.

The LCBO is currently under renovations. That doesn't make me feel.like groundbreaking is imminent.

The LCBO is not part of this development. See renderings on the previous page.

Not sure where the right thread for this is:

ByWard Market grocery store closing in January

Josh Pringle CTVNewsOttawa.ca, Staff Published Monday, December 30, 2019 2:46AM EST Last Updated Monday, December 30, 2019 7:16AM EST

OTTAWA -- A major grocery store in Ottawa’s ByWard Market is set to close its doors in the new year.

A sign on the door of the Metro grocery store on Rideau Street says the store will close for business on January 18, 2020.

There is no word on why the store is closing. Developer Claridge Homes purchased the property at 245 Rideau Street in 2013.

Metro is encouraging patrons to continue shopping at the Metro Beechwood on 50 Beechwood Avenue.
