Thanks.
Very "downtown" in terms of rate structure.
They do give a deal on weekends.
The movie crowds will pay $6.00
(but don't see a movie that spans midnight)
DRIVE IN RATE
Hourly $2.00
Daily till 6pm $10.00
Evening (midnight) $6.00
Overnight till 6am $8.00
Overnight till 8am $10.00
Sat/Sun Daily till 6pm $6.00
The cool thing here is that with the free parking in the back itll force people to walk through the old mall to get to their vehicles, which could help keep traffic in that section of the mall once phase 1 opens
Lots of workers go there for lunch, and London Drugs is kind of an anchor tenant? It's such a weird dichotomy between that pocket upstairs and the rows and rows of empty storefronts elsewhere.
The old mall is depressingly empty already, other than the food court and London Drugs and Starbucks basically.
And yet they dare charge parking which would only discourage curious people from shopping there. I feel sorry for Sporting Life. A brand new make over mall should have promotions to invite people instead. Brentwood is not Pacific Center, at least not yet. I suggest free parking for first 2 years until all their retails move in. I hardly think Shape is counting on the parking fares to make ends meet.

And then everyone would complain about making something free into paid parking. You can't win.

But then by that time Brentwood would be a well established town center. It’s an attraction in itself , people would want to visit despite the parking fee.
I'm on the fence about the paid parking, but given that you can just park in the other Brentwood lots for free and walk over I'm leaning it should be free until there's more than Sporting Life and Vancity as tenants. Coming fron a non-driver.
Parking should definitely be free right now. Until at least 50% of the mall is open there's no reason whatsoever for them to be charging for parking. It's definitely a bit unfair to Sporting Life right now
Nice shots, thanks!
They must be easily swapped out vinyl sheets as they all say "coming soon" (except Sporting Life).
They also used the Brentwood logo as filler on a couple of them - which may not be a good sign.

Beat me to it!
The 'Coming Soon' on Cineplex/Rec Room looks like a vinyl sticker that can be peeled off.
For the smaller stores' signs probably a replacement.
Here are new floorplans now posted to the Amazing Brentwood Leasing Site without the north end department store and with a residential tower now located there.
Note subdivided SEARS space (smaller anchor tenant and office space) and north end subdivided space and tower floorplate.
3 floors of the Tower 3 podium are coded dark blue for wework offices. Some retail at grade facing Lougheed Highway.
Reconfigured retail units on the lower level of the old mall look large.
The Community Centre has disappeared.
Brentwood Boulevard just extends farther north instead of diving underground. http://shapeproperties.com/leasing/#/brentwood//plans
Strange reconfiguration of the upper level of the existing mall - the centre court is gone.
The whole south side of the upper level is coded pink for food and beverage tenant (could be a market concept)
Looks like the tent roof will be removed! http://shapeproperties.com/leasing/#/brentwood//plans
Dark blue is office space - the 6 elevator core for the north end office seems excessive - maybe a future office tower site (?)
Note the absence of the tent roof. The tower at the north end is colour coded for residential. http://shapeproperties.com/leasing/#/brentwood//plans
