The old Cocoa's Restaurant space on the 3rd floor of City Centre West is now 'District 102' and 'Craft Cafe' (or something like that) that serves Phil & Sebastian Coffee (I'm not sure if it is a distinct P&S cafe or just a part of the restaurant that serves their coffee, although they have a P&S sign up beside the entrance.

Overall, the new space looks great and I hope the rest of that end of the mall follows suit eventually.

I love the little bakeries just north of Downtown: Macarons & Goodies, HK, Italian.

Also hit up the Downtown Farmer's Market, a little quieter, but still managed to spend/get a lot.

Lunch was King Noodle So damn good.

Went to Fox Burger yesterday after an afternoon of skating at Victoria Park. Only had a beer flight, garlic fries and fried green tomatoes (delicious!) as we weren't terribly hungry. The Gibbard Block renovations are very well done - we walked up to the roof to check out the rooftop patio progress - that will be one of the best patios in the City once open.

Cafe Amore last week.....insanely expensive - portions decent - thank goodness or else it would have been an even more rip off. NO free bread...weird - never seen that before. Carbonara was NOT made with egg yolk or bucatini as per recipe specs. $155 for 3 entrees, 1 caesar salad + 2 beer....before tax and tip. Oh well, some place new I guess......can't see myself ever going back. Btw, on the way to the Oilers game on NY's Eve, parked at Epcor and walked by Buco - that place was hopping both before and AFTER the game (lounge section) - will check it out next month....

I've only been to Cafe Amore once (a year and a half ago) and I don't remember it seeming outrageously expensive, given the portion sizes. The food was tasty though (had lobster mac and cheese and Amore mussels). I admit it is higher priced than the majority of restaurants in the area though.

I like Cafe Amore, but also find it quite pricey...but the portions do help make up for it.

That said, I find Italian generally expensive for what it is.

That said, I often drop a good amount at Uccelino's or Cibo's because it is just so damn good.

I'm guessing this promo still exists, but you can hand in your parking receipt to them and they take it off your bill. Before or after games.

About time. That sign on 101 Street has been up for almost a full year now.
