And it was the Asian bound planes with the green. European bound planes wings appeared to have none. Clear or white maybe.

GE Aviation lays off 70 production workers at plant in Bromont, Que. due to MAX suspension. They will most likely be rehired once the production line reopens

Here’s some O&D traffic data for two recently announced transborder and international routes:

YYC-BOS announced by AC & WS: 49k pax in 2018 = 32.8% Y-O-Y growth.
YVR-MSP announced by Sun Country and already flown by DL: 58.5k pax in 2018 = 16.9% Y-O-Y growth
YEG-FRA announced by DE: 8.5k pax in 2018 = -10.9% Y-O-Y decline

There weren’t any 319s set to retire in 2020 under the new plan.

With MAN, that brings WS to 7 non-stop destinations in Europe. This will be the first time they add more than one new Europe destination in the same year as well. I suspect YYZ/YYC-MAN will follow next summer when they get more 787s.

Swoop airlines is charging a new $2.56 fee on every flight to offset the cost of new federal regulations intended to protect air passengers.

In a statement, the airline said the Passenger Protection Regulation (APPR) Surcharge was introduced to maintain Swoop’s ability to provide “unbundled, ultra-low fares.”

Last summer only CDG got suspended. But I believe eventually all those routes will be 7M8 once it returns to service.

I just booked to Dublin, but I went with AC because I do not want to be rescheduled when the Max 8 grounding rolls forward again. Same thing happened with Paris last year, but we booked with westjet but on the 787 out of Calgary.

I like the idea of the YHZ connection because it means more flights to from YWG to YHZ but not with the Max 8 situation uncertainty.

If WS could add a daily connecting flight from YQB to YHZ in summer for connections to Europe, that would be very helpful. I've booked CDG-YQB on westjet but I'll have to pass by Halifax and Toronto. Not very convenient to go west and then go back east.

At least their price for that flight was very attractive. So attractive that it made me decide to book a 18h flight instead of TS direct flight.
