Snowfall warning 15cms so no big deal
Special weather statement for the arctic air on it's way
Winter storm warning for highway 3 from the Paulson summit to Kootenay pass: 20-30cms of snow and poor visibility.

Some slushy snow and 3 C in downtown Vancouver right now. The temperature is on the way down now so I think by tonight whatever we have on the ground might get frozen in place until ~Friday. The forecast low for Vancouver Harbour for Monday night is now -8 C but it will be hard to know what we actually get downtown as the Vancouver Harbour page is mostly defunct now on EC and TWN.

YHZ has already gotten 112 cm of snow this season, more than average. There is very little relationship between the snowfall total at the airport and what's on the ground in the city. Current snow depth at YHZ is 13 cm, down from 36 cm yesterday.

-22 at my place in Calgaryright now, temperature should just keep dropping now, barely cracking -30 this week. Predicted to be the coldest temps since 2004 apparently!

-6C with a wind chill of -11 and snowing. Not too much freezing rain thankfully. It could have been much worse.

The warmspot was Shelburne Sandy Point, NS at 14.1C.

BLIZZARD!

Heavy snow, high winds.

It actually was a decent day with blue skies while a bit brisk. The weather made a big turn this evening. And I don't think this snow is going to be melting away anytime soon.

Well, the evening blizzard aside, Sunday wasn't too bad of a day in Vancouver. Chilly with some blue skies and no precipitation through the afternoon.

Sunday's high at YVR was 4 C, the low was -3 C.

It snowed again last night. Wet at first but it turned into proper snow and stayed. There's at least 6-7 inches on my street.

I like the way SHH counts inches

9 cm of snow overnight for St. John's, the real light stuff too. Real easy to clear. Should be free of snow for most of the week, but it's going to be well below average temperatures all week long.

Sun and cloud and -7 at 930 am, temperatures will fall to -10 this afternoon. Not too windy though, it's actually pretty pleasant.

-10C and snow flurries this morning in Moncton, going up to -6C later today.

After the first part of the weekend storm removed our snow cover, the second part of the storm delivered 15 cm of fresh accumulation, mostly dense ice pellets, bound together by a small amount of freezing rain, making the net result akin to concrete.

Depending on the source, the upcoming week will either be glum and depressing, or a downright nuisance. EC is leaning towards recurrent snowfalls. TWN is a tad more optimistic, but there is desperately little sunshine in the forecast. I think I'm starting to get SAD.

-26 with a light snow this morning. roads are now getting icy.

-24 and windy yesterday making it feel like -36. got out for a run with the dog on Saturday but the wind Sunday made it a little uncomfortable.

Have to head into McMurray tomorrow so taking my coldest weather gear. mind you I have to look at a sewage lift station so that makes it that much worse.

Not looking good for Tuesday when I have to drive out to the Sask Alberta border. then Sunday flying to the west coast, again crap weather for that trip.

Balmy high of -23C today. Currently -26C with a -37 windchill. No temperatures forecast above -20C until at least Sunday (-19C.)
