Considering I’m getting online ads from Concord saying they’ll pay half the mortgage for the first two years, there must still have quite a few unsold units.

Yes I'd imagine there are, sales are slow. You seem to take immense pleasure in a mid-market condo not being able to sell units. Quite strange as this is marketed at the lower band price point and much more affordable to locals, especially if they are rented out on completion.

The man is at war with all condos and residential units, even the more affordable ones, as long as there are Chinese developers building and/or immigrants buying or staying in them.

Well, still doesn't discount the fact that they, despite the slower sales, helped the City of Richmond to raise more than enough funds in record time to build the new Canada Line station.

And people conveniently are completely happy blaming developers but ignore the teachers pension plans profiting behind several luxury highrises that are marketed to foreigners, always blame the easy target am I right?.

Make it a race or ethnic issue by putting the blame on the entire group and you suddenly get lots of bigoted followers. The Skyscraperpage forum already has a handful of such agitators.

Notice also how nobody ever attributes the nice things our region gets from homebuyers new to this land, but instead focuses on the negative. Although we have a fair share of dodgy foreign developers and housing speculators, there are also many others who contribute tremendously to the development of our region.

A lot of the Asian back investor groups lack experience in this market and relay on there Canadian partners.
