Got up to 11 or so yesterday here, I went out in a T shirt, not bad for December 27th! The warm weather seems to be sticking around into January, there isn’t a high below 0 in the 7 day forecast.
We have a freezing rain warning for tomorrow. Likely be one of those deals where close to the lake gets rain and to the north it is get freezing rain, with the 401 being the dividing line.

Tomorrow's freezing rain event will be highly dependant on elevation. With temps projected to be around -1C to +1C across Southern ON..... its going to be a very fine line. You'll find areas over 900FT will be at the highest threat while lower areas (under 800FT) will see almost 100% rain. EC has issued warnings for everyone north/west and east of Toronto out of precaution. But you will find some regions seeing an ice storm, others seeing a monsoon. For instance just in Simcoe/Dufferin County you have:

The snow finally stopped. At least for a couple hours. Jeddy1989 and I went for a run to and around Bowring Park. 10 km took us an hour and half slogging through the snow.
LOTS of people with dogs, and we passed young couples pulling babies in little sleds - I didn't know that was a thing.
The next 24 hours are supposed to be a shitshow, but it is not clear what we will be getting. Should be a mix of rain, freezing rain, ice pellets and snow, we just don't know what type of precipitation will be predominant (apparently either ice pellets or freezing rain). I am supposed to go to Kingston tomorrow afternoon so I hope it won't be too bad.
Driving the 401 along the shore of Lake Ontario on the 23rd and again today, I noticed numerous large flocks of Canada Geese flying NORTH. A few smaller flocks were headed south. So, my question is: Weather this week confusing the geese? Geese know something we don't? Normal geese behaviour in a SOntario winter?

It is very unusual that the entire country has been warm and that snow has been lacking since the beginning of winter almost everywhere. Usually when one half of Canada is above average the other half will be experiencing a cold snap. And it’s not because the other half of the northern hemisphere has been freezing either; Moscow has been exceptionally warm this winter too.
