I sure hope that I am reading this right, but Columbia Avenue (105ave) seems to be moving forward with 'fund delivery of project'.

109st-116st is the next phase.

C2E has had many improvements over the past few weeks, and the biggest one is the people who haven't come back! Good riddance! Stay here! I just came here to make sure they were still alive.

2007

The developer was initially turned down at SDAB and moved the Icon Towers forward instead.

It subsequently was sold.

Yikes! Considering the era and the materials it wasn't bad. But compared to what we've got now?

I remember emailing two local developers back in the day about their buildings and why they chose to stamp out identical versions of the same Stalinist designs and the of the two that got back to me gave me a half-hearted response that their buyers want "lots of shelf space"... I love how this project and MacLaren will create a far more urban entranceway into the core.

Other than the look of the rooftop mechanical room I like it. I wish they would just glaze the mechanical room and light box it.

Wasn't this called Clifton Place at one point?

Also, if I recall there was a Vancouver developer looking at lands just south of High Street with a pretty sweet looking development - but pulled out at the last minute. It looked like a ski lodge. What was that called?
