Cool photo. Looks like Ottawa and Montreal are surrounded by snow on all sides.

We're getting accumulation today, not sure about you guys. Looks like it might melt though if the forecast holds up.

Yesterday was a nice 10 degrees. Today's forecast was revised down from 3 degrees to 0. Currently sitting at -3 degrees at noon. The rest of the week was revised down significantly as well, hovering between +2 and -8.

From my walk home yesterday...

'Twas a nice day in Vancouver. I think there was some precipitation in the wee hours of the morning but the day was dry and calm with a mix of sun and cloud.

Wednesday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 9 C, the low was 6 C.

Looking out my office window this morning, noticed the river flowing again. Then noticed the Edmonton Queen river boat was pushed up the bank a bit. quite high piles of ice along the banks as well. So I figure an ice jam moved in the night. with the temp being so warm this might be ongoing. normally the river is frozen over at this point.

So the 2, 5 and 10-15 cm snowfall ended a grand total of zero cms. The one time I wished it was colder.
Fresh snow on the Red Mountain and Whitewater though.

1C and mostly cloudy! We had some sunny breaks before noon which allowed us to get above freezing for a couple of hours.

Pretty typical early December day.

Low of -2C (wind chill of -5) this morning.

The warmspot was St John's, NFLD at 10.6C.

Today was one of those rare winter days where it was actually pleasant being outside.

The temperature got up almost to the freezing point, the winds were calm and there was a very pretty snowfall most of the day. The flakes were large, the rate of snowfall was low, and there was barely any accumulation, but the snow freshened up the landscape and lifted peoples moods, especially in the pre-Christmas season.

This photo (taken this morning) shows eager shoppers standing in line for their chance to get into a Lush pop-up store located on the plaza at Moncton city hall. Lush has opened the pop-up for the Christmas period to see if there is enough demand to open a permanent location in the city. The nearest store right now is in Halifax.

I think they're doing pretty well..........

I saw that storm on the radar map, it completely missed us. Classic lake effect off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.

Toronto got a bit more this morning, right as the roads were finally starting to clear up. It should melt over the weekend with the high temps predicted, but it’s supposed to drop well below 0 next week with more snow so it will be short lived.

This cold is sticking around it seems. This is going to be a long, tough winter given we already feel a month into it, and in a typical year we wouldn’t have even really started yet.
