Wow. From what I know off the top of my head, everything from Austin down the Executive Plaza Hotel, between North Road and the first road you see east of it in the photo there, is up for redevelopment, plus the entire mall and the triangle between Austin and the SkyTrain tracks. Should be one heck of a redevelopment of that nearby entire area over the next decade or so (and this is just what's been going on so far).

I dont think the lot on the west side of blue mountain will happen any time soon. I think its been 10 years and about every 3 or 4 the name changes on the project.



The PC beside the macdonalds on north road is not Bosa. If I recall correct there is a Anthem logo across the property.

There is 2 more PC centers across from burquitlam station that are shuttered. The one was for a leadingham Highpoint project that was shuttered do to slow sales.

The other was shuttered prior to being finished at the old Rhinos pub

Applicant is a Calgary based firm and quick look did not see any projects in Vancouver.

Also notice Leadhingham is also doing a development on the old Kia sales center on lougheed

Definitely exciting for sure, but I didn't see anything about it other than development of almost all the land around it as well.

I'm surprised you missed the 16 storey office tower on 2992 Glen Drive! From what I've read that was promised office space way back from when M3 was built (Coquitlam approved M3 conditional on the space) so I'm happy it's finally coming in. (found here https://www.tricitynews.com/real-estate/developers-bank-too-much-office-space-city-1.23344616)

49,000 square ft isn't going to be 16 storeys. That's more like 4-5 storeys.

It says 16 in the development application. It's a fairly small site so they might have to build it taller to make up for that.

The development on Alderson and Lougheed highway in Coquitlam brings up a interesting question.

The skytrain track on the other side of the number 1 dips because Alderson was planned to extend over the highway and skytrain towards North Road / New Westminsiter.

Wonder if that's still the plan? Or is this small project to bridge a long stretch split by the highway also shelved because it would be too much effort for the region?

You would think this development application would bring up a discussion of these plans?

I think they dropped that idea because New Westminster was not happy with that happening.

I don't recall discussion of an east-west overpass over to the former Crane Canada site and North Road.
That would have to be a long overpass over that rail yard.
I do recall discussion of a dip south of Braid to allow for an overpass to replace the Braid intersection.

I thought that dip was to create a level section for the storage track.
