This is from the "other" site but was retweeted by the developer. This project (RNDSQR Block) looks very cool but will Inglewood ever allow a 12 story building to be constructed?

Oh thank god some real development talk.

I think this is a super cool proposal, and look forward to seeing some finalized renders... mostly more detail of the supporting structures, and type of glass. I really dig the use and exposure of wood, as well as the striking angles that compliment the intersection of 9th and 11th. It will be quite the landmark for sure.

Curious if this will put the lawn bowling grounds (and Rouge outdoor eating areas) into constant shadow.

Fully in support of redeveloping that car lot though.

I agree that looks amazing. I'm curious though, this isn't a criticism, but it looks 'too good' for the location. Why put such a noteworthy building in a totally fine, but relatively unimportant location? Regardless, I hope it gets built and looks like the render.

Apparently that location is the center point of Inglewood. Maybe there are plans for other "cool" buildings nearby. It's not like what's there is anything special and couldn't be torn down.

What is the proposed use for it? It looks like a greenhouse with some suggestions of floors from which people look out from.

Mixed use: 138 condo units, 25K sq. ft of office space and 12K sq. ft. of retail with a terrace and whatever else on the roof. There's supposed to be a public info session on Dec. 10. Given the height of the building the community association is probably dead set against this which is too bad.

It's the busiest intersection in Inglewood with 2 of the 4 corners just parking lots (one a car dealer, one public parking) so it's a great location for development and a marquee building.

The lot outlined in red

Lawn bowling is a summer use facility (??) so I doubt shadowing would have a large impact on the site at the time of year it is being used.
