Good news, like you said. Thanks.

Assuming it's Amazon, do you think the employee windfall from the New York H2Q fallout is big enough that Amazon will retain their pre-existing spaces in addition to fully leasing out the Post (i.e., about 9,000 Vancouver employees in total), or will they consolidate their current employees under one roof (i.e., about 8,000 Vancouver employees in total)?

Vancouver's Heritage Neon Signs to Illuminate Amazon's New Office Building

A trio of heritage neon lights currently under the possession of the Museum of Vancouver (MOV) will become permanent fixtures of the exterior of The Post — the redevelopment of the old Canada Post building in downtown Vancouver.

QuadReal Property Group, the site’s developer, says it has struck a partnership with the MOV to provide a new home for classic neon signs that lit up the city from the middle of the last century.

The neon signs that will be installed at The Post include the iconic super-sized “R” — created in 1949 — from the exterior of the now-demolished Ridge Theatre at the corner of Arbutus Street and West 16th Avenue.

Other signs include “The Cookie” from 1952 by Neon Products Company of Vancouver, and “Palm Ice Cream” from 1935 as a legacy of the Palm Dairy franchises in the Lower Mainland.

The signs will be installed at public spaces at the building in late 2022 when the project nears final completion.

yes its really going to bring people and life to that area of downtown. Much better interaction with the streets around the old post office for pedestrians.

Amazon will now be occupying the entirety of both buildings. They haven't commented on whether or not they will increase their workforce, but with enough space for 10,000 employees, it is hard to imagine that they won't:

Amazon’s Vancouver expansion tripling in size with deal to occupy city’s largest downtown office space

Amazon.com Inc. is undertaking a major expansion in Vancouver with a deal to occupy the largest block of office space in the city’s core.

The e-commerce giant will take up an entire city block by leasing two new office towers currently under construction in a development called The Post, named for its location on the site of Vancouver’s old post office. That will make Amazon the dominant corporate tenant in Vancouver and provide space for thousands of high-paying technology jobs that will boost the city’s economy.

Seattle-based Amazon initially agreed to lease 35 per cent of the space in the two new office towers. Now, it will lease both office buildings, according to people with knowledge of the matter, tripling its footprint to 1.1-million square feet. The Globe and Mail granted the sources anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly

Seems rather insane, but what do I know. How many people do they have now?

New product they will be developing here?

Imagine if both towers could be doubled in height: one solely for Amazon and the other residential or hotel, wouldn't that be much better?
