That's an awful lot of people to cram on one little community shuttle bus (ie. the only transit service that goes by the site).

I totally agree with that! Translink should put in the new double-decker buses on this route! Imagine the view of English Bay from the upper deck during sunset.....

As for those who think that DD buses are not going to work downtown, well, there are already hop-on, hop-off DD buses plying the route in the summer.

BTW, foreign money helps pay for the spinning chandelier that seems to make the boomers really happy: how do you feel about that?

I live at Richards and Pacific and those tiny buses are always full and many times they pass us by because they don't allow standing on those buses. Many of the people are traveling down Pacific to reach the Yaletown station of the Canada Line. And that is what will happen here with the school and the situation will be worse. At least go with full size buses so those of us who want to go further to places like Chinatown can get on.

The more connected the city is by public transit, the better it is for everyone, including those coming downtown and the residents who actually live and work in the peninsula. The amount of service should be directly proportional to the growth in population, if not more. That's how we grow and help in the liquidity of people's movement within the city, which can also spur the growth of small businesses along the routes where the buses ply. There often seems to be a disconnect of our city's growth and how services should be improved here.

Didn't that used to be a full-size bus route (maybe a while ago now)?
