The address on this is 45 King William. There's a sign called "King Williams Residences" which I'm sure is a working title but still, better than nothing.

lol so creative. This sounds like the most Hamilton name for a building. Pluralize everything. I kinda like it, it is a very ethnic Hamilton way. Because even if you call it "Onyx" or something (a cool name for a building insert here) local people will call it King Williams apartments. Tell a Hamilton Cab driver you want a cab to (Onyx) and they wouldn't know what you mean. Say King Williams Apartments and they would know. 200 Bay South the tallest building in the Durand cluster is called "Bay 200".

Does that work in any city? I legitimately don't know the name of any condo building after it's built.

I guess bc I work in advertising and the branding matters to me. But you're probably like most ppl.

If you say a building's name in Toronto, NYC or Chicago the cabbie would know where to go. It's just easier when a cab driver knows the city. Hamilton Cab driver's don't know Hamilton. Blue Line drivers are more fluent with building names. I think building names and brands are important. I find that you have to give the address (and probably postal code) so they can punch it into the GPS they don't know where to go. Yet I still use Hamilton Cab. Uber drivers forget about it. They are lost in one way streets. I wanted to go to Mac and they thought Bay and Main.

Just passed by on the bus and caught a glimpse of new marketing signage on the King Street frontage. I think it may have said Cobalt Condos, but not sure. I will try and get pictures from the bus tomorrow.

The site's back up now. It's not much, just a way to get on their email list.

It's nice to see they updated it to reflect the revitalized arliss shoes building and the building design beside it

That red brick on the corner still looks very 80s though.. needs some stone lintels to make it look less stalinistic, ideally like the building across from the tivoli theatre they built recently..

..although maybe they did - it's hard to tell from the angle and the size of the picture with the trees in front... it also looks like with each render they keep redesigning the look of the commercial podium area..
