Maybe i'm crazy....but what happened to the elevators? the fly through on the 3rd floor showing the extension of office space into the hallways overlooking the main floor completely ignore the elevators..

As part of the new wave of design and social interaction, you will use the stairs.

Maybe the freight elevator for the disabled is all that is available?

Tis a joke, simply not included in the rather basic/crude fly-through.

the elevators don't show because they're accessed from the building lobby to the west of this space.

if i'm not mistaken, this is just a fly through of the royal bank retail space and its two storey open space, not the building lobby.

This will be a great 'refresh' to that building and the corner. Looking forward to seeing it move ahead.

Looks like the CityMarket will be around 18,000 sq. ft. and the rooftop patio for Canadian Brewhouse is a go for sure (based on the plans submitted). Unfortunately, the tower design remains the same...

Developer waiting on permits before turning former Enbridge Tower into Hyatt hotel.

Work to turn the former Enbridge Tower into the new Hyatt hotel will have to wait a few more weeks as the developer behind the project finishes getting building permits.

Paul Aulakh, the owner of Lighthouse Hospitality Management, said on Tuesday he will be applying for building permits this week. Once those permits are approved, the developer can go in and start working on the space.

Aulakh said he expects the approval process to take two or three weeks.

“Basically, (the work) will be interior finishes, there will be some exterior (work as well) opening up the podium and dressing it up and adding some gloss,” he said. “There will be part both inside and outside but until the permits, there will be nothing. There are lots to work with. This is a unique building so it won’t look like a traditional Hyatt House/Place. The building is what it is and it will stay with that look.”
