I haven’t driven by so not sure but I know that they got a permit to demolish the building. Speaking of demolitions, the old Munro electronics building at Haymarket square and the adjacent building have been demolished.

Munro Electronics? That business name doesn't ring a bell in my head, sadly. Would you be able to use a pic from Google StreetView to show me where that part of Haymarket Square is? o.o

And from the looks of it, Universal Trucking's previous building right beside the Crown St. Overpass is also gone too.

Universal Trucking's previous building isn't gone entirely. They just expanded the back section into where the front section of the building was previously. And created a parking lot in front of the building. As well as installed a sign next to the road. I believe they moved whatever was in the front section (which was their offices a believe) to part of the former Liquidation World building (next to the storage unit place) long ago.

Monroe have moved into the old Lounsbury furniture location. Worth checking them out.

It sure looks like they cleaned up the stone on the New Brunswick Museum building on Douglas Ave. It's not nearly as dirty as it was.

Gothic Arches site has sold and will be dismantled to be replaced by 50-80 high-end apartment units, according to a release from Discover SJ. Sold to Percy Wilbur, the same developer responsible for 1 Charlotte redev at corner of Charlotte & Union.

The word "dismantled" is interesting? The whole building? Part of the building? Pieces repurposed into the new building? Just another more pleasant term for demolish.. so many questions.

Presumably the whole building is being demolished and DevelopSJ didn't want to use the word demolish.

Dismantling may be the appropriate word as there are pieces he wants to preserve for future developments. That stone would be priceless today - be nice if developers / builders could take some for their development as there is plenty to go around.

UNBSJ is breaking ground on a new residence.

Always good to have more students living on campus. UNBSJ veers way too far towards the commuter campus side of things.

Does anyone have any insight on the foundation poured at the corner of Albert & Victoria? I can't seem to find anything on the Development Dashboard map. Area is zoned medium to high density.

It's a 14-unit apartment building being developed by Housing Alternatives/Unified SJ Housing Co-Op. Details below:

The buildings are coming down now. Not a lot of equipment on site, so it'll be slow and steady.

So exciting to see Uptown developing. The 2016 census said the peninsula population was up 15% over 2011 correct? I hope those same numbers hold for 2021.
