Its funny you should say it's a wind tunnel. Where, on the side streets?

I'd say it's windy because the vast expanse of the Ottawa river and a LACK of buildings in the immediate vicinity.

Update as of July 12th:

The building is on its 24th floor. The installation of electrical panels on the floors and ventilation ducts continues. The formwork is currently in progress. The windows from the 1st to the 6th floor have been installed, those of the 7th floor have started.

If only it were a standalone or 'twins' of differing heights. I don't know why but I really hate the identical twins at this location. It's probably also the 32 floor height that irks me. Feels like a step backward when it seemed we were starting to push 40 as the new norm for proposals.

Brigil has posted a new image on their facebook page that shows some new architectural details for 121 Parkdale and removes the "twin towers" affect that was previously demonstrated. The new tower looks to about 3-5 stories shorter.

Taken on October 5. The exterior brick is going up on south the west side of the building and work continues on the top floor penthouse.

I didn't realize the tower is topped out. I see a lot of conflicting heights for this tower but one of them is 112 metres, which would tie this for the second tallest building in Ottawa with Place de Ville Tower C and after Icon. Does anyone know the final height? Brigil has tweaked this project so many times!

I was wondering that too. The numbers suggest it should be top 5 at least. Metropole still looks taller from most vantages but this may not be the reality.

There has been a ton of conflicting information over the last several months, indeed. The website currently suggests 33 stories but I clearly count 32 in the pictures.

Residential towers are typically 3.28 meters (10 feet) per floor. This adds up to 105 meters for a 32 floor tower, which is the height that was originally claimed for the project. I'm sure the official height will be revealed shortly.

Anyway, the tower is looking great so far in my opinion!
