Exclamation

Pizza Pizza has finally opened up in the little mini mall in Kits @ Cornwall & Cypress next to Siegel's Bagels-after what I gather was 18+ months of permit hell.

The one time the City was right to hold back a permit.

Never should have passed the health inspection.

Ouisi Bistro is closing on South Granville after a 25 year run. Hopefully something will take its place, that strip doesn't need another empty storefront.

https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/ouisi-bistro-closing

And now West on South Granville has announced it's closing at the end of December. Soon you'll see the tumbleweeds rolling through that retail strip.

They have a bad reputation but not every one of their holdings have been the awful gastown lounge/pubs (the lamplighter...*shudders*) that they are known for.

I'm hoping they're cognizant of the location and put something with a bit of thought and character that honors the history of that building.

Sad to see both West on South Granville closing, as well as Nomad on Main.

Making a restaurant work in a generic space like Nomad was in is difficult. You barely notice it's there in the first place, and if you do notice it, your first impression looking at it is bland food, because that's the message the facade conveys.
