There's still a legacy cache of sorts with the Bentall name in the local market, even though the Bentall company hasn't actually owned Bentall Centre for something like over a decade now, and that complex still bears the Bentall name, for example.

They re-used the same letter?

That's what a Bentall person told me.

I would love to see all the Bentall buildings all [including the B5 and others] connected via the underground retail spaces. It's not like most people even notice what the sign on top of a building says anyways.

The B in the Bell logo has a smaller round part on the top of the B compared to the B currently on B5 I think..

I'm just going on what a rather high-placed person at Bentall told me.

It was definitely the B from the old Bell signage.

Their old logo until the mid 90s or early 2000s had just a regular B.

But the photos of the old Bell signage has a different shaped B from the current one.

wow. that was faster than I thought.

A little off topic, but that moon pennies coffee across the street has been closed for what seems like a decade, still has all its signage up and sits empty, whats their story? why has noone else moved in?

The rent isn't cheap and there's a lot of construction in the area.

Noticed a blue rezoning sign on it.

Look what's visible in the excavation pit!
... the roof of the Dunsmuir Tunnel.

The tunnel was originally cut in 1931, and allowed the trains from Waterfront Station to be moved to the Drake Street railyards to be cleaned, supplied and made ready for the trip back to the east. Before it was built, full scale steam trains could block the Downtown streets they crossed for up to 20 minutes. Eventually CP’s use ceased in 1979.

Part of the tunnel was re-purposed by Skytrain when the Expo Line was constructed. The tunnel wasn't wide enough to have two trains side-by side, which is why the tracks are on top of each other in part of the Downtown route of the Expo Line.
