Definitely.

That small, lacklustre sign is also a colossal waste of prime signage space, where something really eye-popping and sexy should go.

Is the fencing down for good, now? (Also posting the photo again using an image hosting site that actually works)

I'm now moved into one of the rental units and my experience so far:

-Super friendly building manager
-Cosmetically everything looks fine, no visible mistakes or issues

Caveats:
-Teething problems? Check everything on inspection. In my unit the bedroom lights straight up don't work, but I never noticed until it was my first evening in it. My neighbour says her oven doesn't work.
-The hot water is not very hot. Like where you'd say 50% hot/cold mix in other buildings is 100% here. I'm not one for scaldingly hot but even for me here showers, hand washing and dishes are all done with the taps set to 100% hot.

Must be related to Meraki's move in. I was walking by and saw this move in/loading sign there with workers. Awesome!!!

Congratulations for having moved in, Meraki! Please post some photos of the views and the amenities when you get a chance.

I will. I was told they won't be ready for another month, and it certainly looks like that. With the other little things I honestly feel like a Beta Tester for this building before they move on to the condos.

It seems like they're putting the final polish/clean on the units literally as you move in based on your given date. My dishwasher had water in it on move in, saw a couple units on the floor that have a sign 'Ready For Move In, Do Not Enter' (mine too, torn off on first entry.) and I can hear the construction elevator going as crews go around prepping other units.

It's a nice space, feels bigger in person versus the pictures and floorplan.

edit: My only annoyance is the kitchen for being despite its size and so much cupboard space, it's all just cupboard and no drawers. Other than a pull-out for cutlery nothing else slides out.
The thermostats are programmable enough that I don't need a Nest or similar. (Change 4 times daily, different settings for each day.) You can tell it how long to run heating cycles, for a longer runtime but larger range of temperature, or down to 20 second increments to keep it exactly where you want if you don't mind it turning off and on all the time.

Cellular service sucks. They installed repeaters in the parkade levels, but inside the unit it's pretty bad. My TELUS installer was having problems calling back to the office to complete my activation.

That's not a new thing - whoever has designed kitchens for the last 20+ years hates drawers. I have one stack with four drawers and that's it. I know people (some with bigger kitchens) who have less.

My last place, built in the last 5 years had that. Three small ones and a big one at the bottom. Half of my cabinets are empty here but I'd kill for some more sliding out space.

Is this photoshopped? Cause it was not there this afternoon. Unless it was taken down which I’m not sure why

That's fake picture. All the fencing is still up. Plus there is still an unfinished section in the silver part where the brentwood sign is

I mean, the fact that there are no cars at all and no people in the image should have been a dead giveaway that it's not a real photo.

When is that intersection ever that empty and devoid of anything (vehicles) or anyone after the sun is more or less up?

Nice Photoshopping skills, though.

that feature in the plaza was all lit up purple tonight, but some of the lights were red, hopefully they get the consistency in the lights fixed.

The Cactus Club is moving as well. We're going to see a lot of changes along the north side of Lougheed over the next few years.

When I did my walk through the guy casually mentioned it - I guess a nice option if that amenities gym sucks or is full of people not wiping their machines (which I guess happens at commercial gyms too).

Beautiful picture, Joshmaxlo. You should consider sharing it with news outlets and even reddit Vancouver. Assuming the pic was taken from Coquitlam hi-rise along North rd.

That pic is also worthy of the skyline pics thread.
