Muji is opening a 1709 sq ft pop-up store at Guildford on Friday Sept 27. From the article it says the pop-up will stay open until Feb 2020. So it looks like the full store won't be ready until next year.

Toronto, September 24th, 2019 – Japanese retailer MUJI announces the opening of a pop-up store in Guildford Town Centre in Surrey, British Columbia, on Friday, September 27th, 2019.

Forever 21 has declared bankruptcy and will cease its Canadian operations so all Canadian stores will be closing. The few left in the Vancouver area are pretty large, thats going to be a huge amount to fill. Metropolis is two levels, Guildford is pretty big and Richmond is also one of the biggest stores in that mall, I wonder if Uniqlo would think of moving to their space in Richmond Centre. Are there any other locations left?

Only other locations I knew of were :

Park Royal : started liquidating months ago

Robson : now Indigo

Tsawwassen Mills : still operational

I think that side of Richmond Centre is scheduled to be torn down for redevelopment?

The Metrotown location never seemed to have many customers though, in part probably due to disinterested staff who made no effort to attract them.

I didn't even know they had a location in metrotown let alone BC, until i heard it was shutting down I thought they only existed in Toronto. Bad promotion bad location too.

I'm not 100% sure.. but I think that's why they didn't update the floor tiles on that side. But I could be wrong, Apple is doing a small renovation on their store.. but maybe it doesn't matter to them.

Yup. Here's the phasing plan - may not be til Late 2022 in Phase 2.
Doubt they'd renovate for just 3 years.

Was at Park Royal today. Rudsak is opening where Bath& Body works was. Roots is moving to the spot where Tommy Bahama was and will open October 10.

Fouborg cafe is closed, the two spots next to it are turning into food places, one will be Tractor and the other is a ramen place I think.

ALso have noticed at a couple Bay Stores I have been to recently this week they have gone back to having one central service counter per floor, they had done that a few years aback and then dropped that idea and are now back doing it. Also Metrotown has put bright green signage around the store with directions and they have changed the shoe section with new fixtures that display the shoes and the stock underneath, before you had to find a salesperson to track a pair down in the back stock room.
