Congratulations Winnipeg! I just found out you guys are getting a new tallest. In Ottawa we have a new tallest, Claridge Icon, that just got topped out at 143 metres... almost identical to yours. We can see it from almost anywhere in the city. Exciting times for skyscraper fans in small Canadian cities!

And congratulations on the recently opened Confederation Line O-Train.

Never noticed before in the '74 sketch, but is that a monorail or some sort of rapid transit train in the far left (Graham Ave.) of the drawing?

canadinn's projection really takes a dump on our nighttime skyline, doesn't it

"hey, let's take the logo our summer intern made in ms paint, and project it 5 stories high"

It's not just the logo, it's the lame-o name. All I think of is Gonad Inn.

After closing all of those nightclubs and bars (which for some reason actually MADE money), then focusing on a bunch of seniors at the buffets, turning said bars into restaurants, and all while doing nothing to innovate within Winnipeg (or Manitoba) against the other hotels coming in... I'm not surprised by how cheap Canad Inns is getting, but being unable to afford a sign or two, or to even paint the logo on without using Microsoft Paint and a projector, does show how lazy and cheap a brand is.

If the logo was animated or something, it would at least pass off as acceptable. But standstill MS paint logo? It's 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵. lol

Remind me again, why are they insulting the concrete in front of the 330 Main Entrance? Are they paving over that or something?

Was that supposed to be installing?

Never mind. I assume it was. Heated laneway I heard somewhere on here.

They're putting the blue hard foam insulation over the roadway at the front. I don't really understand what the purpose is. To insulate what's underneath from the outside?

Looks like maybe some re-cladding work on the Scotia Bank at Portage & Main?

Looks like it will be mainly jet black with a bit of brown and white:

It’s an amazing development for Winnipeg! Thank you

Looks like you guys have 2 new even taller towers, including a new tallest, that recently got approved. Congratulations! Hopefully Winnipeg can break the 200m barrier one day. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time. Had sky city had legit developers behind it, we would have hit that 175m development (given that it was allegedly 50% sold)

The holocores really seem to be the bottleneck of this development. They could be done this latest floor by now but it seems like they just can't get them ready quick enough. Hopefully they're able to ramp up sooner rather then later.

There is daylight between the hollow cores on the south side. Why don't they fit?
