This one block of like four houses has more flowers than the rest of the core combined.

They've started, but it's spotty still pretty minimal. I was driving up Military road towards the Basilica this morning and noticed a huge pop of red/orange from one tree in the park.

On the street next to mine, I noticed the Freeman's Maples starting to turn red, but everything on my actual street is still green.

23C with a humidex of 30 and cloudy. We had some showers on and off. Pretty humid for this time of the year as the dewpoint was 20C the whole day.

Low was 20C this morning. It would have been higher had it not been for the light rain.

The warmspot was Port Hawkesbury, NS at 28.6C.

Erieau, ON had an official low of 22.6C yesterday. Other places in extreme Southern Ontario (Windsor, Sarnia, Point Pelee) had lows above 21C as well.

Ha was just watching NTV news and they mentioned that it was national forest week and indeed there was a tree in the background with some coloured leaves lol.

Shocking to see Charlottetown added to the freeze list so early. Usually it is one of the later additions on the east coast because of the moderating effect of the surrounding ocean water.

This just goes to show how atypical that pulse of arctic air was last week.

Currently 12C and rainshowers in Moncton at 9 AM. We had heavy rain and intense lightning in the area earlier today as the tropical air mass we were formerly sitting under gets displaced out to sea.

The temp dropped all the way down to 11.5 this morning, after a warmer-than-expected high of 25.5 yesterday.

There are trees turning on the bay side at Rondeau. For some reason they always turn early in the swampy area of the park around the Spicebush trail. The trees are 99.9% green everywhere else around here, including the rest of Rondeau.

Around 10% of the trees have started turning around here. Nothing spectacular yet as it is mostly some yellow mixed with green.

I like how the Weather Network felt the need for a dramatic headline regarding the upcoming nose dive in Calgary. If any Canadian major city knows how to handle drastic weather swings, its Calgary.

Also not even surprised. Mother nature hasn't been kind to Calgary all year.

Case in point - Moncton prematurely succumbs to the freeze list last week, but three days later we are sweltering with a humidex in the low 30s.

The jetstream has been favourable to Eastern Canada lately, but it appears to go right over the Maritimes, which probably explains the sudden changes.
