The Calgary Tower looks rather stubby in that pic compared to the Bow

Agreed. I love how the angle makes it to look as if the « forest » on PB seems to be one with Place du Canada square and the trees behind the cathedral.

What you are looking at is the top floor of a parkade.

The Bow is 45m taller, so the Calgary Tower is definitely stubby compared to the Bow.

No new buildings can be taller than the Niagara Escarpment or around approximately 30 floors to keep views of the Lake intact.
