Eye sore -- looks like forklift platforms piled on top of each other. City planners were daff in approving such a monstrosity. Not in the spirit of Vancouver and I understand that it hasn't been approve for move in. Probably dangerous as well as ugly. Idea: take it down and do it right.

Meaning anything very tall, with beautiful architecture and avant garde design, containing a huge podium with useful amenities such as shops, supermarkets, malls, theatres, etc. These are considered "not in the spirit of Vancouver".

A one-storey wooden rundown hick shack? Heck yeah!

I have tremendous respect for Spaxman and his career. I also find myself at odds with a number of his recent public pronouncements. I think that his Vancouver is long gone and empathize with his discomfort with current trends. His Vancouver really was an urban village in scale and outlook. While it was an economic backwater compared to today, he still oversaw planning and development at a time when real incomes peaked, upward economic mobility was greatest, and the local housing market was still coupled to local incomes. Arguably, Vancouver was unbuffeted by the acute economic and socioeconomic challenges we face today and I think that makes it difficult for him to empathize with today's residents and even fully comprehend what Vancouver has become.

He introduced a lot of good moves that saw a better designed city, and especially Downtown, than had existed before. However, that was a long time ago, and he is now 85 and living in West Vancouver. He's never appeared to be happy with tall or high density development, so I'm not sure why his views are still sought out in discussions about the contemporary city's development - unless the writer supports a similar mindset - which is what I suspect in this case.

Wow, I feel as if I'm in the front seat of a car, heading south on the bridge on-ramp beside VH ... dramatic and exciting. Fantastic shots .... as we've come to expect. Thank you again.

What a great set! Thank you very much McMinsen. The office buildings are really coming together well and look very sharp (pun intended).

Any news about prospective office tenants? If it's widely known, it's flown under my radar.

Were pretty lucky to have this development. It works so amazing with the odd shapes allowed by the bridge.

This is great.

Thanks!

This is a tight driveway.
Trucks will probably enter from Beach Ave.

Transportation plan has deliveries turning left at Rolston from westbound Pacific. They take the diagonal road and cross under the bridge at a 90 degree road straight into the main tower. They exit out to Beach.
