Anyone know what's being built at I-35 and 3rd street? Near the Fairmont and where the old Crossfit Central used to be?

I drove by yesterday and saw a lot of excavation, but I don't think I've seen any plans for it on here.

A.k.a Block 36. The tower crane is scheduled to go up the third weekend of September.

Businesses need to deposit cash and checks. Individuals need to deposit/cash paper checks, withdraw large (too large for ATM withdrawal) amounts of money, or make last minute payments on loans and credit cards. There are still legit reasons to go to a bank, but most individuals probably only need to go to a bank on an occasional basis. Drive through facilities are handy for these transactions and often are fairly busy.

And to add.... yes. Some of us go to banks. I walk to my bank all the time.
I like a face to face interaction.... Small business, self employed.
It's really amazing how much people are willing to help you when
they know your face.
So... yes.

BUT NEVER drive thru. for anything.

Continuing with the off-topicness, My bank is the Velocity at that intersection. I've only been there three times in the last three to four years. Once for my daughter's car loan, once for an IRA transaction that I couldn't do online, and once to deposit about three years worth of change because they have a nice self-serve change counter.

Oof. Seems like a huge waste of potential given the land -- I assume it's completely limited by a CVC?

We haven't heard anything about the River Street Hotel (and apartments) since it was posted for AULCC in April. But two Land Status Determination permits were filed today for the two lots it would be built on:

60 East Ave (Corner of East Ave & River St):

69 Rainey St (Corner of Rainey St & River St):

Holy shit. We now know what those plans for the Clive bar are that I posted about a couple weeks ago. Between this and 90 Rainey, the Rainey St. Entertainment District is literally heading to a new level. The Alibi (Bar 96) is up to something as well.

So . . . I'm not sure what the picture's showing me here. Is this an entirely new addition?Or are they raising part of the existing structure . . . ?

Looks like a new structure on silts sitting above the old structure. That's what I see anyway.
