That is a pretty tiny parapet on the roof of the Bell/MTS Building. I always envision parapets on the tops of taller buildings to be larger...

No because the window washing equipment has to hang over the edge of the roof and the little trucks that the equipment is attached to are squat and low to the roof for stability purposes. At least that’s how it is in Toronto. The old buildings that don’t have the track system for the window-washing units often have higher walls.

im amazed window washers dont get killed in winnipeg seen some really sketchy stuff also had to yell at a few of them when they tied off their safty ropes to radio equipment on none penetrating stands that move and nock links down

notices were taped to the doors on the skywalk level of the Cargill Bldg that the 6 month closure of the skywalk was to start on Aug 16. As they were still open today at lunch I am guessing the closure will start at 00:30 when the link closes for the night.

Access according to the notice will still be available thru ground level but you have to go down the stairs at the building at Fort and Graham and cross the street.

^On the contrary, seems like they're getting a lot done on the inside. Clearly that's the focus now. IIRC GoodLife's lease is up May 31, 2019 – so they're probably rushing to make sure the space is ready in time for the move.

^^^I agree, also I would suspect they want to close in and button up the complete podium of the tower before winter sets in to keep all of the elements out. This way only the tower is exposed to the elements.

Currently when it rains outside it also rains in Shoppers Drug Mart.

Anything with a lease is of utmost importance. Followed by weather related items. It would make sense to assume as you guys do.

I've been walking by daily and there's tons of work inside and out, just not "up", currently. That scaffolding midrise (lol) at Fort and graham went up fast too.

The BellMTS location also looks like it gets water in it too as I have seen a leak diverter ceiling tile running into a plastic push cart.
