You know, I don't mind the student commons, they way the cladding was done at the angle, the finish, and the window detailing is excellent.

It's like music. I like it if it's done well, and I don't really mind the genre. As long as it's done well.

In Edmonton its like they went around and around and all the fun was squeezed out of it.

That's pretty bad.

If they had used a "shinier" cladding similar to the Walt Disney Concert Hall it would have looked way better.

Building looked amazing coming in from the airport yesterday around dusk. From a distance, this thing looks spectacular. Up close there are a few things left to be desired.

The overall look of the materials reminds me a lot of the Minto Metropole.

Looks great from a distance or under certain angles or lighting. Huge game changer for the skyline. From up-close during the day though, we can see the cheap that went into it. The mullions are the worst offenders IMO.

it's strange seeing this building pop up through the Westboro skyline.

This new Minto Yorkville Park project in Toronto reminded me of the Icon...sleek curved glass building pops out in the renders... but straight balcony panels, window wall, mullions are all prominent in the final product. The Minto cladding still seems higher quality than the Icon though.

Blast from the past... here is the original Claridge Icon design

Was riding some new streets to work this morning and noticed this as I came over the crest of rue Marsolais in Cantley.
Lousy zoomed in phone pic but with the naked eye I could see through the top floors and see the crane.

(The taller tower to the right is a nearby cell tower)

Excellent shots, usually angles only seen from an airplane! I wouldn't mind any one of those views. It will be interesting to see when the new Civic gets built across the street. Depending how tall the structure is, it might be quite obstructive to those on lower floors.

It almost looks like the view coming in from the east on approach to YOW. Shows how tall this beast is.

Thanks for the pics, ServiceGuy.

Wow, those are awesome views and great shots!

The building is now 62.5% sold. Only 120 units are left out of the original 320 units. Pricing did go up slightly, with the available units now averaging at $602.47/sqft (was $595.76/sqft in July 2019). Lowest price in the building is $343,000 which would get you either a Redford (625sqft) on the 6th floor, or a Gable (610sqft) on the 10th floor. The average size of an available unit in the building is 742sqft.

No problem and thanks. I was hoping to get back there during the tulip festival but no such luck. I will say though... you would want REALLY heavy balcony furniture up there. It is windy!!!

Great shots - thanks. Really like the farm - haven't seen a pic exactly like that.
