New Distillery and Brewpub at NW 1st and Western
Oklahoma Distilling Company is opening a new distillery and brewpub at NW 1st and Western in downtown OKC.
This is a new company formed in Tulsa in 2017.
They distill several spirits including:
- Indian Grass Vodka
- 1907 Oklahoma Whiskey
- 59 Shine Smoked Rye
- Rose Rock Rum
They also brew mead and cider.
When was the last time you had mead, my friend?

The only rendering I can find is from an Oklahoman article, and it's not a high quality image:

So apparently, the two buildings will be kept, but renovated.
In fact, work has already started:
The current facade - some type of stucco - is being scraped off of the long thin building to reveal the original brick underneath.
This will become a tasting room.
The site will also include a small restaurant -- no word yet on the type of offerings.
Standard pub grub, I would assume.
Floor plan:
This new distillery is just a short distance down from Stonecloud Brewery, which is at NW 1st and Classen.

Oklahoma Distilling Company has already collaborated with Stonecloud.
Their '1907 Oklahoma Whiskey' is based on an Indian pale ale (specifically, astrodog ipa) obtained from Stonecloud.

Perhaps their close locations will result in more collaborations.
Stonecloud Brewery is doing some work themselves.
They are adding a new taproom and an outdoor patio along Classen:

This section of downtown - west of the CBD near Classen - has really been popping the past few years:
21C Museum & Hotel, The Jones Assembly, West Village Apartments, Stonecloud Brewery, and several other renovations.
