The Scotia Square towers in Halifax look good from a few angles:

Look, there's an elephant in the room in Skyscraperland, but the prissy sensibilities of the usual suspects be damned, it needs saying...the Bow looks ridiculous in Calgary.

Is it really too late to move it? It's like a piece of Hong Kong plopped down in the middle of Omaha Nebraska, a flashy glass objet d'art in the middle of a dreary prairie cityscape. If it was one and a half times taller it would look pretty good in Toronto, maybe somewhere around University and Wellington. It would probably suit Vancouver, too.

I'm going to start a petition.

My main problem with it is it's too bulky.

Lmfao! You're a complete idiot. Literally nothing you said there was based in any semblance of reality, even the "one and a half times taller looking good in Toronto part"... that would make it taller than the CN Tower you dunce. Do you just spew so much bullshit that you have ended up believing it without question, or even like... any evidence at all?

But speaking of how completely amazing the Calgary skyline is Here's some more to stuff in your vitriolic gob *blows kiss*

Uh, the Bow is 236 m and the CN Tower is 553 m. You can perhaps deputize yourself as an idiot, if you like.

Or you can continue with your trademark screeching hissy fits. They seem to be a forum staple.

The TD Centre was clearly an homage to Kubrick's film 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Oh christ, I didn't even see the part about it fitting in in Vancouver... its three times wider than the widest skyscraper on the downtown peninsula. If you're bitching and moaning about it not fitting in in Calgary when it's surrounded by similar scaled buildings, I'm pretty sure you'd blow out a fucking O-ring if you saw it completely dwarfing everything in dt Van in both width and height.

All you need to do is give one second of thought before barfing a bunch of nonsense on to a public forum man. I'm not sure if you're capable of that level of self realization (judging by years of watching you spew self-righteous bilge all over this declining forum), but it's worth a try. I can lend you a couple clonazepam if you like.

One and a half times its current height is 590 meters. If you meant 50% taller, you could have said that. Regardless, you're most definitely a fucking idiot, posting baiting nonsensical bullshit like that. Get over yourself. Even at the worst of times back a few years ago, I've never been a trolling snake like you. Keep living in dreamland.

1.5 x 236 m = 354 m

The Bow would look good tucked into the CBD around Georgia, behind those two black towers with the white borders. There's a bit more glass there.

The Bow is a massive building and I eluded to that in a post a while back that there needed to be some more built up area around it to look more at home in downtown Calgary. That's my opinion.

As far as the Bow in Vancouver - it might work better as the core of the city is much larger than Calgary's. As an example, BC Place Stadium is a massive structure obviously, and with the masts is around 300' tall, and it is pretty well absorbed by the densely built up surroundings. That being said, I'm not sure I would a huge structure like that given its main feature... green glass. We have enough of that.
