I'm trying to also picture where this giant tv screen is gonna go
The screen is where that massive black logo is on the Cineplex top curved level.

Why is T&T ...turd? It has lots of non ethnic food items just like any grocery store. I for one, living at a super convenient location and yet has to bring my granny cart, trot over to Whole food or Save On to get grocery; or even worse to have to drive to Safeway. totally does not make sense to me.

I order online all the time, they have great stuff at reasonable prices.

They are opening stand alone Home stores, this is the one in London. Apparently its doing better than the H&M clothing stores.

Also, not everything H&M makes is bad. Like any clothing retailer, they have their strengths and their weaknesses. Their upscale brand COS is great too, if you've ever had a peek at the store in Gastown they use really nice fabrics and it's not crazy expensive.

Their clothing is still not meant to last which, for the price, isn't a big deal. Where it is a big deal is the environment which, unfortunately, few people really delve deep and ponder.

I see Vancity bank/credit union also is opening at TAB. Ground level. Near skytrain staircase/bus stop. Men working inside (on a Saturday too) a very well lit unit/space with some red strip/panels + Vancity word/text already. Won't be surprised if that opens before year end.

Agree w/ you there. If people knew how many gallons of water it takes to manufacture maybe only 3 pairs of jeans (a huge truckload) or a single shopping bag's worth of clothing, it's very concerning. Garment industry/fast fashion apparently is second only to oil and gas when it comes to top industrial pollutants.

Sorry I digressed. Lol.

What ? I was hoping it will be Royal Bank. The biggest bank in Canada should have a presence in this major intersection. Marine Gateway which being a relative new hub has a Royal Bank. Sooooooo disappointing.

Yup. TAB should open a grocery on the TAB side or Skytrain station side of Willingdon/Lougheed. I'm not the only area resident bemoaning this. I'm by no means lazy. Just busy.

I'm amazed they hadn't secured a proper grocery for Phase 1 or 2. Not amazing at all, TAB/Shape. Once TAB opens and Concord Brentwood, etc, I expect there'll be more demand for it. Big and busy Willingdon/Lougheed is a pain to cross. That would be my big gripe with TAB. No proper grocery. Fail! Lol.

I have to agree , TAB is becoming less and less amazing to me. After years of top retailers secret, now all I see is Starbucks, Mcdonald, Cactus Club ,may be even Tim Horton. Cactus Club is fine where they are. Well within walking distance for people who frequent pub once or twice a week. Why let them into TAB to take up prime retailer space. Multiple delays. I have seen far later developments complete and occupied with much more user friendly retailers.

I would have liked it more were it a non-fashion/non-apparel retailer but a lifestyle one (Indigo for instance...or Crate and Barrel/Williams Sonoma/Fortnum & Mason ilk) instead of a McD's at that spot. Nicer to see during the holidays too.

I understand why a F&B chain tenant but would have been nicer were it not. Oh well.

Fortnum & Mason counts the British royal family amongst its very upscale clientele list. I don’t believe there’s any demographic even remotely similar in Brentwood, no matter how amazing it tries to be. You’ll have to settle for Save-On and Whole Foods, LOL.

We buy our tea there. Not really royal family-like is it? Lol! It's my fave. There are pricier tea places by the the weight but F&M I like a lot (and another French tea brand). And it feels relaxed when I'm there. Unlike overrated Harrod's.

Lol! I know They're not bad, just invonveniently accessible. Hehe! I just order the heavy regular grocery staples online (very convenient) but have to be in the actual shop for other items I'd rather check and pick in person.

I’ve been there a few times, always get a kick out of the red carpets. Can’t for the life of me imagine Canadian grocery store aisles lined with carpets.

Marine Gateway not only has one RBC branch - in the building on NE corner of Marine /Cambie, it now has a second location in Marine Gateway development, 2nd level next to the cinema. Bizarre!

Seems awfully early to be speaking ill of the potential retailers that could be coming to this mall, no? We only know a handful and some are more luxurious than the others. People were worried about this mall for being too upscale and now some are complaining that a McDonald's is confirmed to be at the space right by the skytrain station? A spot like that with connection to skytrain is most definitely likely to be a convenience-type of retailer... a fast food and drinks store, bank or something along those line. Maybe there will be a RBC here and maybe not. We simply don't know the full list of retailers yet... Seems nitpicking to me, that's all.

THIS!

People need to shut up and stop complaining. It is way too early to voice your armchair opinions.
