I was thinking these comments in particular:
"In Detroit, Cox is known for leading the city’s initiative for “20-minute neighborhoods” which means residents have everyday necessities all within a reasonable distance. His focus has largely been on creating neighborhoods that residents want to stay in long term by improving streets, parks, and amenities. "
And "The New York-raised Cox is also tough on developers and architects. He isn’t afraid to make them “go back to the drawing board,” Crain’s Detroit said. ... Cox’s rigorous standards for design and his concern for neighborhoods are two qualities that have the potential to change Chicago in a big way. "
I know that last comment could be interpreted poorly on this forum, but I do think that having rigerous standards is good with the new developments incoming so we don't get a bunch of uninspired buildings.
