It doesn't look like it. I was driving around the Landmark area the other day, and the only parking I saw were two four-story parkades. Maybe they overbuilt the parking in anticipation of Landmark 7?

That makes sense. If that's the case the crane should be up soon. I do know that they always planned a multi building complex, not sure if the knew at the time if they were going to go so big for this phase.

Speaking of that empty lot, is there any plans or rumours of anything being built there?

Are you talking about the one just north of One Water Street on Ellis? As far as I know, it’s owned by Ledingham McAllister (same developer as Waterscapes) and was intended to be more phases of the Waterscapes. The parkade for Waterscapes is partially constructed under that lot. It would be nice to see it developed. Hopefully they give it a more urban feel than the existing phases of Waterscapes, more in line with the development on Ellis further south.

Oh good, more reason for the Stobers to jack up the price of parking. You should've seen the outrage when it went up from $35 to a whopping $50 a month.

A couple of pictures from the Kettle Valley area. I think this new neighbourhood is called The Summit.

I would've loved to have lived up in Upper Mission. I'm hoping they'll focus on non-view lots that are more affordable for the average person.

I grew up in the Upper Mission (Crawford Estates), and while it was super safe and had nature right at your doorstep, it got pretty boring up there as a kid. Once you had explored every nook and cranny of the neighbourhood and surrounding area, you were totally cut off from everything else the city had to offer. A city bus comes up there a few times a day now, which is nice. I would have loved to have that amenity as a kid.

Nice pics!

Hope the classic summer heat kicks in by the time I get there in August.

This July is starting to look like a bit of a wash (first time in a while).

Though looking at the Okanagan temps so far this month it is interesting how relative “bad” is. Temps are still averaging 26 to 28 for highs throughout the valley... In many other locations that would be some good heat. Of course for Osoyoos, 28 in July is 3 degrees below normal.

Thanks, Metro.

There was a lot of rain the last couple of weeks, which was awesome, but it's been nice the past couple of days.

I really don't mind the wetter-than-usual weather, to be honest. We really needed it.

It's been raining non stop in Edmonton, I'll take any sun and above 25 temperatures I can get next week in the Shuswap and Okanagan regions.

Yeah the weather here has been pretty terrible so far this summer.

Looking like 28's and 29's in the Kootenays next week Can't wait.

That's too hot lol. Two years ago I remember being in Vernon and it hit 42c on the car's ambient temperature gauge. It's oppressive at that temperature

It would be great if someone here could update this, especially with building photos: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tallest_buildings_in_Kelowna

Kelowna in general needs some more TLC.

The diagram on this forum lacks a drawing for anything after Landmark 6.

BC in general could really use someone like Koops.

I decided to draw up a diagram drawing for Brooklyn on bernard. I drew up a good portion of the buildings in the past such as the kiwanis tower, landmark 2 etc. I thought Id start with Brooklyn because I found the building plans with the proposal for the Brooklyn block. Ill probably try and draw up much of the proposed buildings where i can find the proposals and building plans. ive found westcorp hotel, all of the buildings on brooklyn block, the buildings proposed for the parking lot at prospera. The building that is proposed for the dragon king restaurant.

If someone knows where I can see the plans for one water, ella or various other highrises that would be awesome.

Now I just need to request these buildings
