Tower 3 is turning out nothing like the render. Quite a disappointment. I'm glad at least the panelling seems to be going to white. But still.

Nice, thanks for the info.
The whiter panels look much better than the beige panels.
White fritt wouldn't show well against a white background, so osirisboy's suggestion of dark glass balcony glass would work well (but doubt they'll do that).
I doubt the north side glass is going to be changed to white - as the mullions on the north side are brown..
te mullions on the south side were already white to begin with.

Here's the "before" pic:

That would be the retail lobby up to the Cineplex - the skylight is shown on the plans.
So not a residential lobby.

Outdoor fountain gives a sense of arrival to a town center though. Enhances it somehow. Aberdeen center with its indoor fountain is too nondescript on the outside. Starting from the sky train station , one has to search for the entrance to the mall , walk through winding hallway to get to the atrium.

The stairs have been lit up in the evenings. Colour changes as well. Fixtures look like LCD screen strips.

Yes, I noticed that. There are many other instances like this where views that used to be open ended/undefined, now have closure from newly built distant skylines/buildings. It is giving the city (all over metro) a different feel.

Technically, West 4th Kits folks prefer the mountain views though, so that would be an abomination as they would see the towers as evil rising from the east.

I sure hope they aren't going to stick a video screen in that unfinished space at the corner! It would look cheap and tacky. Video screens only look good if they are large and fully cover an area

Not necessarily, the video screen on the north face of Solo looks fine to me. In fact any bigger would look overpowering. It draws too much attention to itself.

I expect that space in the corner to just be a sign for Cineplex and/or Rec Room.

However, I was hoping that it may be for this:
